What's New in Revial — January 2026 Update

January 12, 2026Jone Korpi

Introducing automatic meeting prep, self-serve billing, and a wave of AI improvements that make every sales conversation count.

Last week was one of our biggest weeks yet. We've shipped two foundational features that fundamentally change how you'll use Revial. Additionally we launched a suite of smaller improvements that make every part of the platform smarter and easier to use.

Automatic Meeting Preparation with Calendar Integration

Our most requested feature is here.

Until now, using Revial meant using our UI before each meeting. It worked, but it added another task to your already-packed schedule. It has been highly requested to make this process automated. I’m happy to announce that, starting this week, everything Revial does, it does automatically. Briefings, meeting notes, content generated based on those meeting notes, everything works without lifting a finger.

How It Works

Connect your Google or Microsoft calendar, and Revial monitors your upcoming meetings. When it detects an external meeting such as a call with a prospect, a demo with a potential customer, a check-in with an existing client, it automatically:

  • Identifies the client company from meeting attendees and context
  • Researches the organization using public data, news, and company information
  • Generates a full briefing with company overview, key contacts, recent developments, and talking points
  • Prepares tailored discovery questions specific to that company's situation
  • Sends all of this to you directly via email before your meeting

By the time you are about to have your meeting, everything is ready, prepared by Revial right in your inbox.

Smart Filtering

Not every meeting needs a briefing. Internal team syncs, recurring 1:1s, and meetings with colleagues don't need AI prep. Revial intelligently distinguishes external client meetings from internal ones, so you only see briefings for conversations that matter.

We've also added proper handling for your organization's email domain, ensuring your own team members are never mistakenly identified as the "client" in a meeting.

Built Into Onboarding

New users now set up calendar integration as part of their first experience with Revial. The redesigned onboarding flow includes a dedicated calendar step that walks you through:

  • Choosing your calendar provider (Google or Microsoft)
  • Granting the necessary permissions
  • Confirming which calendars to monitor

This means new team members can have their first briefing generating within minutes of signing up, not days later when someone remembers to show them the integration settings.

The Technical Foundation

Behind the scenes, we built a complete OAuth 2.0 infrastructure to make this possible. This is the foundation for deeper integrations our team is building with email platforms, automation and other tools in your sales stack. Calendar integration is the first, but it won't be the last. Everything is built up to the highest information security standards and, as usual, your data never leaves the EU.

Self-Serve Subscriptions with Stripe Integration

Manage your plan without waiting for sales.

We've completely rebuilt how subscriptions work in Revial, and the result is a system that's better for everyone. Revial is now a true self-serve platform. With that, we’ve also launched our full-featured free trial of seven days (extendible upon request),

For Customers: True Self-Serve Billing

You can now manage your Revial subscription directly from the platform:

  • View your current plan and what's included
  • Upgrade or downgrade between Lite, Medium, and Sales tiers
  • Add or remove seats as your team grows
  • Update payment methods and billing information
  • Access invoices and payment history

No more emailing support to change your plan. No more waiting for someone to manually provision features. See something you need? Upgrade and start using it immediately.

Feature Entitlements That Just Work

Alongside the Stripe integration, we shipped a complete entitlement system that gates features by subscription tier. The entitlement checks happen throughout the application, so users on lower tiers see clear upgrade prompts when they encounter locked features.

AI-Generated Discovery Questions

Come to every meeting with the right questions.

Great discovery calls aren't about running through a generic list of questions – though that is important and a part of using Revial. An important part is also asking things that show you've done your homework, questions that make prospects think "they actually understand our situation."

Revial's briefings now include 3-5 company-specific discovery questions generated for each meeting. These aren't pulled from a template. They're created by analyzing:

  • Company information — size, industry, recent funding, growth trajectory
  • Recent news — press releases, product launches, leadership changes
  • Job postings — what roles they're hiring for reveals their priorities
  • Industry context — challenges facing similar companies

Each question includes context explaining why it's worth asking, so you understand the strategic value.

Seamlessly Integrated

The customer-specific questions appear alongside your playbook questions in the meeting preparation view, visually distinguished so you know which are tailored to this specific company. They're collapsible if you prefer to focus on your standard framework, but they're there when you want that extra edge.

Solutions Library: From Hours to Seconds

Your product catalog, automatically populated.

Keeping solution and product information current is tedious work. Marketing updates the website, product team releases new features, pricing changes, and someone has to manually update the sales enablement tools. Usually that someone is too busy actually selling.

Auto-Generate from URLs

Point Revial at any URL. It can be your own website, a competitor's pricing page, a partner's product catalog, and our AI extracts solutions automatically. It maps the content to your sales concept framework, so every solution is immediately usable in proposals and pricing discussions.

Pro tip: Link directly to your pricing page or solutions overview for best results. The AI analyzes only the specific URL you provide, not the entire website.

PDF and Excel Upload

Last week we also added support for document uploads:

  • PDF files — price lists, product sheets, solution briefs
  • Excel spreadsheets — pricing matrices, product catalogs
  • CSV files — exported data from other systems

Drag and drop a file, and Revial populates your solutions library.

Technical Improvements

We rebuilt the document parsing infrastructure for reliability. We have optimized the technology used, consolidated content limits and processing constants and added source typing to enable AI to adjust its extraction approach based on the source type.

Follow-up Emails That Sound Human

Less corporate robot, more thoughtful colleague.

AI-generated emails have a reputation problem. They often sound... generated. Generic openers, formulaic structures, buzzword-heavy language that makes recipients' eyes glaze over.

We completely rewrote our email generation prompts with a focus on natural language.

What changed:

  • Used multi-shot prompting to optimize the language of the emails
  • Added explicit anti-patterns to avoid common mistakes
  • Increased temperature for more varied and creative output

The result is follow-up emails that read like a thoughtful person wrote them. They vary in structure, use natural language, and actually sound like something you'd send.

Reliability Improvements

We moved email generation to background processing. Previously, generating an email tied up your browser tab, and if you navigated away, you'd lose the email. Now the generation happens server-side, and you can check back when it's ready. Email history also got small optimization to make previously generated emails easier to use.

Upgraded Transcription Quality

Better transcripts power everything else.

The value Revial is able to provide is largely dependent on transcription quality. We've switched our transcription engine to one whose WER (Word Error Rate) is up to 50% lower than other benchmarked models. It is also optimized for the Finnish language and is more environmentally friendly. The improvement is noticeable:

  • Industry terminology — technical terms and product names come through correctly
  • Accented speech — better handling of diverse speakers
  • Multi-speaker conversations — clearer attribution of who said what
  • Overall accuracy — fewer corrections needed

This is a foundational improvement. Better transcripts mean better summaries, better coaching insights, and better AI-generated proposals. Everything downstream benefits.

We also improved speaker identification in the processing pipeline, so transcripts more accurately show which participant said what, which is critical for understanding the dynamic of a conversation.

Platform Polish and Reliability

We’ve implemented a number of small but meaningful improvements to make everyday life with Revial easier.

Authentication Redesign

The signup and login pages got a complete visual refresh to make signing up and logging in a more pleasant experience. We’ve also removed the waitlist to make sure new users can sign up immediately.

Security Fixes

We completed our routine periodic penetration testing and identified two small potential vulnerabilities which are now fixed. We’ve also improved input validation to make sure its more secure and easier to use.

What This Means for Your Team

Our team has worked incredibly hard to deliver these updates. They represent a significant shift in what Revial can do for you. Before this week Revial was a tool you used actively. You created briefings, generated proposals, crafted follow-ups. It was all valuable, but required your time and attention. Now everything Revial does is independent of you. It works in the background. Connect your calendar once, and meeting prep happens automatically. Set up your subscription and manage it yourself. Upload a document and populate your solutions library instantly.

The calendar integration alone changes the daily experience of using Revial. Instead of "I should create a briefing for tomorrow's call," it becomes "let me check what Revial prepared for tomorrow's call." That's a meaningful difference in cognitive load and in how prepared your team shows up to every conversation.

The Stripe integration means your organization can grow without friction. Need more seats? Done in seconds. Ready to upgrade to access coaching features? One click. It's the kind of self-serve experience you expect from world-class software. And the AI improvements (better questions, better emails, better transcripts) compound over time. Every conversation benefits. Every follow-up sounds better. Every insight is more accurate.
